Reflections #2 - Ties That Bind

A poet and a dancer walked into a bar
And out of the corner of their eye
Gazed fondly at one other
Seemed a long time had passed by

A time so fresh in their minds
The spring of eternal youth blessed
A boy with a pen in his hand
A girl tied her dress to her waist

Each had their own expression
For the tune of their hearts
A paper and the stage the canvas
For their unbound love of the arts

And soon enough after many a day,
As clichéd to others it seems
They each discovered themselves
In one another’s dreams

A love for more than just the self
One danced what the other penned
And he wrote for her, his own muse
Such a perfect binding in the end!

Cause when the music stops
Feet and Pen move no more
They will still have each other
And move together on love’s floor
