Oh lonely chair by the sea
Crying for comfort thanklessly
In it's loneliness it does demand
More than the silent touch of sand
In it's loneliness it does demand
More than the silent touch of sand
But a forgotten dream it remains
A carrion of incapacitated pains
Drowning its sorrow in empty shells
Even as evening tolls its bells
The tide calls to it to come near
But even its pleas are not to hear
And beautiful yet numb the waves
Cover another day's graves
Twilight approaches and darkness nears
Revealed are all of the worldly fears
For in the end we are all lost
Only the lonely chair knows the cost
Only the lonely chair knows the cost
